The sample is routed through fixed piping to the manifold for FTIR analysis. Light from the interferometer passes through the gas, and the light-absorption pattern is recorded.

 Chemtracer T&D’s spectral analysis software interprets the spectral data, identifies the gas composition, confirms an adverse event, integrates data to SCADA, and triggers existing, specific alarms.
